Effective date: June 24, 2026
Stride ("the app", "we", "us") is a step and activity tracker for iPhone. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is handled. The short version: Stride processes your data entirely on your device and never sends it anywhere. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no third-party tracking.
Data we access
Stride reads the following on your device, only after you grant permission through the standard iOS prompts:
How your data is used
All of the above is used solely to display your steps, distance, calories, active minutes, trends, streaks, and goal progress inside the app. Your goal, theme, accent color, and imported history are saved locally on your device (in the app's storage and iOS preferences).
What we do NOT do
Data retention and deletion
Your data stays on your device. You can revoke Stride's access to Apple Health or Motion at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health / Motion & Fitness. Deleting the app removes all data Stride has stored on the device.
Children's privacy
Stride is rated for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
